What is a reasonable budget for a timeshare in Orlando?
Somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000 at a good resort.
This is without doubt a fair guess. If you has this estimate in mind then chances are that you will be able to find a good accommodation in this price range.
But I would like to suggest that while making these predictions you have not taken into consideration certain hidden dynamics. Consumers are now quite aware of the workings of the timeshare industry and know how to get good deals. Others have further realized that better deals area available if they look further enough.
Consumer needs are changing. The industry is evolving rapidly to respect these needs. New products are being created and well informed consumers are taking advantage of these new products.
There are few who have found a substitute that can help them save up to 50% - 70% on their initial budget estimate without making any compromises in terms of quality. Below are some of the resorts and timeshares that are available through this subsitute service.
Floridays, International Drive

Floridays ranks at #1 in the "Hotels in Orlando" category on Tripadvisor with 93% positive reviews. One reviewer went as far as saying that "if you didn't like Floridays then you won’t like heaven either." This reputation in part comes from the willingness, attentiveness and skill of the staff to help guests while the remainder comes from its state of the art facilities and a great location.
Where is the resort located? How far is it from Disney, SeaWorld, Universal, and Discovery Cove etc.?
The resort is located on the quieter and safer side of International Drive between Disney and Universal that are also located on International Drive. Hence, these places will be easy to find if you stay at Floridays. Furthermore, the roads on International Drive are well maintained and connected which makes it easy to access and leave these theme parks.
For shopping one can use the Orlando Premium Outlet on Vineland Avenue. Even though this may not be the best shopping option in Orlando it is definitely a convenient and less crowded one, especially for Floridays Guests as it only a five minute drive from the resort.
How can I get to these parks from the resort? Do I need a car?
Floridays offers a free shuttle service. The drop off point for the Disney shuttle service is at Epcot which is very convenient as it quite easy to go to other places such as Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, etc from Epcot. Another advantage of this shuttle service is its timings. It starts early at around 8 in the morning which is at least half an hour earlier than other shuttle services. As a result, you will be amongst the first ones at the park which has its obvious advantages. This is an option for not only those without a car but also for guests who DO have one as they will be able to save money on the parking at all the parks.
If you don't want to use the shuttle service then buses are easily available on International Drive. The I-Ride trolley is a good option that will take you to all the major parks and another option is the Lynx Bus Service.
This is not to say that a car will not be more convenient but it is definitely not required unless you want to go somewhere far. Even then you can make use of a taxi.
What about the rooms?
Guests report that the condos at the resort are very spacious and a good option for families and groups of 4 or more. The kitchen comes fully equipped and stocked. Useful if you want to eat in and save money. There is a Publix grocery store at walking distance where you can buy supplies.
